What is Freestyle Fitness Yoga?
Freestyle Fitness Yoga. Freestyle Fitness Yoga (FFY) is a fitness program that incorporates stretch, strength and yoga postures. You will learn how to understand your body and begin to move more effectively and efficiently, improving posture, self awareness and confidence. As well as relaxing and stretching you will strengthen your whole body through each pose. See the benefits within eight weeks.
FFY is not a spiritual experience, there is no dogma, chanting or philosophy. It mimics yoga in its breathing and style offering postures that endorse strength and stability. There is a 5 minute breathing exercise at the end of the session to allow you to focus on body and mind as one.
Freestyle Fitness Yoga is an excellent prescription for a total body programme where flexibility is often the weakest link and is suitable for all age ranges and abilities.
You don’t need to be super flexible to attend a class. Just bring a mat and prepare to relax, stretch and strengthen.
