Broadway Boogie Instructor (Maternity Leave)
Brief info

I qualified as a Broadway Boogie instructor in June 2020. I have been a member of JH fitness since the launch of the company and I have thoroughly loved every single class.

I have always loved exercise as I used to play football and netball however, since going to university my fitness declined and my weight increased. The decline in my fitness (amongst other things) led to a decline in my mental health, which saw me suffer from severe depression and anxiety. I tried to join various gyms in the hope that I would gain motivation there to improve my physical and mental health. However, I always felt like there was something missing – that for me was the community and social element of group exercise. Ever since I first came to classes with my mother, I felt welcomed and loved the sense of community that JH fitness provided. I have met some amazing people which I now consider as friends. My mental and physical health has significantly improved since joining JH Fitness. I first came to classes with my mother as a bonding activity however, it has become much more than this, as we both feel part of a community. JH Fitness has enabled me to flourish and gain the confidence to train and qualify as an instructor to teach fitness classes. I loved the inclusiveness of JH Fitness as the workouts are truly for everyone.

Outside of classes, I am a Geography teacher in a secondary school. Therefore, I love the opportunity to have fun, unwind, work out and socialise with some amazing people.

I have a big crazy Labrador called Marley, who loved to be the highlight of attention and a destructive rabbit called Nibbles. I am well known in the JH Fitness community for my love of prosecco and cheesy tunes.
I'm currently on maternity leave but hope to be back sometime in the future.
